This is a really creative, homemade soap. Lindsey decided to embed loofah into one side of a large bar soap. This recipe is for May Change soap, but you could do the same thing with any scent.

May Chang is an easier name to remember for Litsea Cubeba essential oil. It’s extracted from the fruit of an evergreen that’s native to China, Taiwan, Indonesia, and other areas in Southeast Asia.

May Chang has a warm, citrus scent reminiscent of lemon. It’s both an uplifting scent and a calming scent that foster a relaxed mind and body.

This is a cold process soap. Lindsey shares a link to her basic soap making instructions. She also explains how she combines the soap batter, scent and one other ingredient. Then she goes through her process for embedding the loofah rounds into the soap. She includes some helpful tips as well. Very nice recipe. She also sells this and other soaps, if you’d like to buy rather than make the soap.
