Yellow nails or stained nails are a big turn off. People co-relate it to your personal hygiene and habits. But, you don’t have to paint your nails to hide the stains. Instead, try these simple home remedies and get white nails at home naturally.

Lemon
In a bowl mix lemon juice and water and a few drops of shampoo. The acidic nature of the lemon will remove stains from your nails and the shampoo will wash it off from the surface of your nail. Soak your nails for 5-10 minutes and then wash them with cold water. Remember to moisturise your hands to prevent dryness.
You can also cut a lemon into half and rub it on your nails to get brighter and whiter nails naturally.

White Vinegar
White vinegar is acidic in nature and helps fight stains on tougher surfaces like nails. In a bowl add water and a tablespoon of white vinegar. Soak your fingers for 5-10 minutes and then wash and dry.

Baking Soda
This cleaning agent will also clean your nails and get them sparkling. In a saucer add a tablespoon of baking soda and add a few drops of hydrogen peroxide to it. Now using a cotton swab apply this mixture on each nail and let it stay for 2-3 minutes and then wash it off. You will have to do this for a week, before you see results.

Toothpaste
A good toothpaste that helps in cleaning your teeth will also do wonders for your nails. Using an old tooth brush, brush your nails with toothpaste and let it dry for 5 minutes before washing it off. Repeat this for a week for clear, healthy nails.
